About Me

Hi! I'm Sarah. I'm a Boulder-based copywriter with a side passion for design. 

A little bit about me: The journey to get to this area of the advertising industry has been long and strange, but beyond fulfilling. As a teen, I dreamed of working as a doctor or nurse but became disillusioned with the sciences after finding that my creative nature was becoming quite stifled. At the time, I was also interested in art but wanted to apply it commercially, so I began looking into advertising and eventually made my way to the University of Colorado at Boulder where I have been studying advertising for the last 4 years.  

I started out studying art direction,  but in the process, I learned that while I enjoyed working on layouts and design, I had a passion for writing the content I had been working with. Throughout this entire journey, I have been fueled by a deep desire to understand how people communicate and persuade each other and have channeled that curiosity into the study of mass communications through the lens of Media Studies.  With backgrounds in art direction and Media Studies, I have a habit of being a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, especially when it comes to the core principles of concepting. I love to learn new skills and roles within the industry and have dabbled in several roles throughout my education. Art direction has given me a knack for applying visual solutions to my writing and has helped me understand the visual appeal that advertising needs to support good copy. My minor, Media Studies, has given me insight into the core aspects of mass communication as well as how people respond to and engage with it.

I graduated in May of 2021. I am experienced in the entire Adobe Creative Suite and can both write content as well as produce it. I am skilled in writing both technical content and consumer-facing content.
